| A Day at the Saidye |
This program opens the doors of the Saidye Bronfman Centre to Montreal and surrounding area daycare, elementary and high schools to offer children enhanced hands-on arts workshops. The students have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Liane and Danny Taran Gallery, participate in workshops in sculpture, painting, dance, theatre, or a whole host of other activities. Students can follow proposed themes - The Environment, Culture and Traditions OR the creative workshops can be planned around the school's curriculum - even Ancient History can come alive!

| Community Outreach Program - Artists in Schools |
We, at the Youth Institute, strongly believe that the arts play an essential
role in child development. Exploring the arts is not only a satisfying, fun
activity, it also assists and encourages children to think more creatively
and gain confidence in their own ideas and newpoints. The Institute's
professional instructors are adept at kindling creative enthusiasm and
feeding natural curiosity. With this as its focus, the Youth Institute is
taking its instructors directly into the community through its outreach
program. Creative programs which are being established off site, directly in
schools and community facilities enhance students' education by affording
them the opportunity to explore and develop their creative sides. These
outreach programs challenge and inspire children and encourage them to
discover and learn more about themselves and the world around them.
Participants in these programs are given the opportunity to display their
works in Espace Trois, a professional exhibition space at the Saidye
Bronfman Centre for the Arts.
