Shakespeare for My Father is a funny and moving portrait of a child’s longing for the love of the daunting and charismatic Shakespearean actor who was her father. Don’t miss this exhilarating solo performance featuring excerpts from some of Shakespeare's most memorable works.

Domini Blythe is one of the leading actors in Canadian theatre today, appearing with the Stratford and Shaw Festivals and starring in productions at many of the top theatres in Canada, including Centaur Theatre (Ackbourne's Woman in Mind). But over the last three decades, the core of Ms. Blythe's work has been her many seasons with the Stratford Festival of Canada, most recently as Goneril in Christopher Plummer's King Lear (Stratford and Broadway) and as Fanny Kemble in Fanny Kemble, written and directed by Peter Hinton. She has also been a leading member of the Royal Shakespeare Company in London and Stratford-upon-Avon, where, one year, she had the privilege of reading a passage from Shakespeare in Holy Trinity Church, where he is buried, as part of his birthday celebrations. Ms. Blythe has had a successful film and television career, in cluding a two-year stint on NBC's Search for Tomorrow in New York and a lead role in the CTV series Mount Royal which was shot in Paris and Montreal. She has also worked in French, most notably starring in Denys Arcand's Montreal Vu Par... .She lives just outside Montreal with her husband, filmmaker, Jean Beaudin.
