In the shade is Gravy Bath’s latest production.
Playing with the ideas of broken routines and sudden deaths, our cast of seven
actors explores what life becomes when we know we’re going to die. What
risks we take and what inspires us to act in such conflicting circumstances;
‘the difference between Aces or Kings, win or lose, life or death’.
Gravy Bath is continuing to develop its own style of creation and language by
incorporating all elements of theatrical form; from the design to staging, writing
and acting, and pushing forward for a more innovative and imaginative presentation,
hoping to spark the synergy between audience and storyteller.
Gravy Bath Productions is an 8-time Montreal English Critics
Circle Award-winning independent theatre company dedicated to the creation of
original works, the re-interpretation of important classical texts, and the
exploration of new theatrical styles. Established in 1999 and now housed at

evolving and exploring, searching for new ways to tap into the Theatre
