“Wilkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!”

It is New Year’s Eve in Berlin and for Clifford Bradshaw, an American novelist seeking inspiration, a night out on the town seems more inviting than his typewriter. A friend mentions a cabaret called the Kit Kat Club where a cross section of Berlin night life meet: When the master of ceremonies welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that, whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret we are ushered into a tale of love, lust, crime and passion. All set against the backdrop of pre-WWII Germany.
