Programs for Educators

A Day at the Saidye
This program opens the doors of the Saidye Bronfman Centre to Montreal and surrounding area daycare, elementary and high schools to offer children enhanced hands-on arts workshops. The students have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Liane and Danny Taran Gallery, participate in workshops in sculpture, painting, dance, theatre, or a whole host of other activities. Students can follow proposed themes - The Environment, Culture and Traditions OR the creative workshops can be planned around the school's curriculum - even Ancient History can come alive!

Community Outreach
Community Outreach is a unique program that enhances the Jewish identity of students by giving them the opportunity to explore their creative nature. Like all Youth Institute activities, it challenges and inspires children to believe in themselves and in the importance of a vital cultural community. Professional Montreal artists from different fields lead art workshops in elementary and high schools, and in after-school programs. The studentsí finished work is displayed in Espace Trois, a professional exhibition space at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts.
